Dr. Daniel Feszty is a researcher in vibroacosutics and CFD, with application in vehicle NVH, rotary-wing aerodynamics, vibration and noise control. He holds full-time appointment at Széchenyi University in Győr and part-time appointment at Carleton University in Canada.
He has published over 60 scientific papers and has graduated more than 40 MSc and PhD thesis students in the above fields since 2003. He is the leader of the MTA-SZE Lendület Vehicle Acoustics Research Group at Széchenyi University in Győr, Hungary, which is jointly supported by the Hungarian Academy of Sciences and Audi Hungaria. Prior to this, Dr. Feszty was co-founder and first Director of one of the largest academic aerospace Research Centers in Canada – Carleton Aerospace, - which involves more than 30 professors conducting research in aerospace engineering at Carleton University. He also co-founded the Rotorcraft Research Group at Carleton University, as well as Canada’s first Student Chapter of the American Helicopter Society (AHS), which he served as Faculty Advisor between 2012 - 2017. He has mentored several award winning students, including the Runner-Up prize in the American Helicopter Society’s Lichten competition for that year’s best new scientific paper. Dr. Feszty is an accomplished educator, who has won a Best Paper award in the Engineering Design Education section of the 2017 AIAA Aviation Forum in Denver, Colorado.
Since September 2017, Dr. Feszty is double appointed at Audi Hungaria as well as at Széchenyi University in Győr, Hungary.
